Valeant Pharmaceuticals has announced a significant price increase on their Phendimetrazine (Bontril) green/yellow 35mg tablets and green/yellow 105mg capsules. At this time, the manufacturers of generic Phendimetrazine have not increased their prices. However, generic prices historically follow the brand regarding price fluctuations.

Generic Benzphetamine Hydrochloride (Didrex) is now available in 100ct and 500ct plastic bottles. Competition among multiple manufacturers should continue to drive down the price of this product.

Sanofi-Aventis has not received approval from the FDA for the weight-loss drug Accomplia (Rimonabant). They do not have a time frame as to when this product will be available in the U.S.
